iOS development & consulting
I was there, back in 2011, when iOS developers finally stopped archiving their work by hand and Xcode became a complete solution for iPhone projects.
It seems painful now but back then we believed doing memory management by hand is better. Or, remember the introduction of Grand Central Dispatch? Or how exciting Storyboards were? Then Swift came! And somewhere along the way we ditched MVC for MVVM.
Arguably, having a deep knowledge of an underlying system helps with having fun. This also means I don’t mind what kind of a project I work on.
Banking app with half of its codebase in Objective-C? Bleeding edge photo manipulation tool? One screen app with a clever twist and complex Swift UI code? MVP in a desperate need for a refactoring?
At the end of the day it’s about crushing bugs, building stuff responsibly and following the boyscout rule: Always leave the code better than you found it.
After a decade of mobile development the urge to work on my own projects finally took over and Ludwig Van (Beethoven is silent) studio was born. Hopefully, this will help me to better understand product ownership and management.
